Hey guys,

Just wanted to give you an update on what's been happening with my computer lately. After about 10 years of heavy use, my PC decided to give up the ghost. It was a system I built in my last year of University and it served me well.

Unfortunately that means I need to buy some new hardware. After much deliberation, I settled on the Intel i7 860 chip with 8GB of DDR3 Ram and an unnatural amount of HDD space. The i7 chip is an absolute beast and trumps almost everything in Photoshop CS4 benchmarking.

I'll also be using some new software, namely Adobe Design Standard CS4 and Corel Painter 11. I've demoed both programs and they work perfectly with my new Intuos 4 medium. I've invested a fair bit this year in something I consider a hobby, but it's worth every penny.
